I’m Brian Pascal, an independent consultant based in Northern California. I work with clients who are trying to make the world a better place, mostly involving AI strategy, technology policy and governance, and bespoke engineering.

What I do
I fix the things you didn’t know were broken, build the things you didn’t know you needed, and help you figure out how best to help everyone else.
Sometimes it’s drafting model legislation, policy analysis, and regulatory strategy for a leading AI safety organization. Or maybe it’s helping a global philanthropy turn a broad spectrum of work into a ready-to-implement policy portfolio. Perhaps it’s building custom tools to solve the problems that are uniquely yours.
Instead of coordinating four different people, maybe you just need me.
Whatever it is, I’m here to help, whether it’s policy, strategy, technical development, or even just basic brainstorming. That’s the theory behind this practice. There’s no menu of services, just us working together to figure out the right answers, even if they aren’t the easy ones.
